Íslenzkar þjóðsögur og ævintýri: Origin, context and collection 1864 – 2014

The central aim of this three-year project is to document the collection and publication process of Jón Árnason’s Íslenzkar þjóðsögur og æfintýri (1862-1864) and the other materials collected as part of that project in the form of an extensive, freely-accessible and user-friendly digital archive closely integrated with relevant Icelandic and international manuscript collections, databases and websites, as well as a range of lectures and published case-studies.
